Lola to me was a bundle of energy, full of joie de vivre. She had so much magnetism, she could attract a crowd and then some. She was always on the move, busy with so many things. She had a big heart - she regularly visited some elderly friends who found themselves alone in the twilight of their lives. It was much appreciated, especially during COVID lockdown. She was very kind. She tackled everything in life with great integrity and honesty. She was so proud of each and everyone of her children - their achievements is testament to her commitment to her family. She enjoyed eating out, especially experiencing other cultures. Even towards the end she kept telling me that I would have to take her to the Portuguese restaurant I raved about. I think that I might have to take U. Joe, Jennifer and Caroline instead to celebrate her life. She absolutely loved Indian street food ; she was a regular visitor to Upton Park and then pop into ours with Bhel - she was very thoughtful. She loved Goan finger food and got me hooked on them too. We used to order potato chops, croquettes etc together. Lola was a straight talking, brutally honest, highly organised person. Most of all, she was loving, kind, funny, with a generous spirit and a positive attitude, helping everyone who asked for it. We will miss Lola, and will never forget her (we've made some lovely memories with her). Lola, you are always in our hearts and prayers. Cherie and Charmaine
